We embrace diversity and value people who bring personal energy and authenticity to everything they do. If you’re someone with a strong values-oriented compass and you want to achieve sustainable outcomes, you will find a great community at WorkCover.

About the Role

As WorkCover embarks on an exciting growth phase marked by significant enterprise and digital transformation, you’ll play a pivotal role in this journey. Reporting to the Service Operations Manager, the Infrastructure Services Lead will lead the evolution and management of our IT infrastructure, encompassing both existing data centres and cloud migration efforts. Your responsibilities will include strategic planning, design, deployment, and ongoing maintenance to ensure our infrastructure remains robust, scalable, and secure. You'll manage a team of traditional database administrators, infrastructure administrators and network and security administrators.

The ideal candidate will be a people-focused leader and a strategic thinker, dedicated to building strong relationships that drive successful outcomes across the organisation. Your role will involve aligning infrastructure solutions with business goals, enhancing performance and resilience, and bridging gaps between in-house applications, database administration, and server management.

You will oversee the migration of equipment to the cloud and the decommissioning of legacy systems while ensuring the effective maintenance of our current technology frameworks. Your experience in managing both on-premise and cloud environments will be crucial as you drive the implementation and delivery of our core strategy

You will lead critical infrastructure operations and projects, manage vendor relationships and contracts, and conduct meetings related to data centres, licensing, and cost management. The ideal candidate will lead with empathy and clarity, understanding the importance of aligning infrastructure initiatives with broader business needs. You will recognise the power of teamwork, believing that the best solutions emerge from close collaboration with your team and stakeholders to tackle complex and critical challenges.

If you’re looking to make a significant impact and lead with purpose, this role offers a unique opportunity to do just that, while leveraging your people leadership and technical leadership skills in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
